I am going to try hard to stay out of the public debates because I believe it has become so very convoluted.

So I will use my 'voice' here because people get to choose if they want to 'hear' it or not.

THIS is where I can still be a 'world whisperer'!

Anyway, I am reading another book now about the Civil War.  I told Joe I am continually struck by how the REAL articles and letters written about slavery and Lincoln could be used NOW about guns and Obama.

It is fascinating to me how we humans repeat history.

Being the optimist that I am, I choose to believe that this struggle (like so many before) will end with something more positive for the human race.

Because I am an old dancer, it brings to mind the TRIPUDIUM dance step used by the early church as a processional march.

And used by me to make a point with many a congregation...many children.

It is three steps forward and one step back.

Try it.  Take three steps forward and one back.

Repeat.

Now, sing 'we shall overcome' as you do it.

Repeat.

Go ahead.  Do it.  No one is watching.

C'mon.  I got time.

Do it til' you 'feel' it.

I will wait.

Got it?  FEEL it?

Cool, eh?

It seems to be 'the dance' we humans do.

We move forward and then we move back...but NOT as much as we move forward...which means we ARE getting there.

AS LONG AS WE KEEP MOVING...MARCHING...DANCING!

I shall cling to that belief...that hope....that we ARE moving forward.

Because, I am certain, I shall continue to struggle with what feels like lack of progress...

...as well as what I am to DO about that.

How I am to make ANY difference.

But, I will not stop whispering and I hope you won't.

And I shall not stop stepping and I hope you won't.

I SHALL cling to the belief that we humans, like the early church and everyone since, are gonna', at the very least, stay with the rhythm of that tripudium step.

Cuz' three steps forward and one step back...

...does move us ahead...

...as long as we keep DANCING!

BIG TIME PS!
WHATEVER your personal path right now, stay the course with this little 4-step in mind because as long as you keep moving, marching, dancing, I PROMISE you, you WILL move forward...you will overcome, someday!
