"Greet one another with a holy kiss" Romans 16:16
I am not much of a scripture quoter; too often scripture is used as a weapon to level others and keep me standing. That is so not what I believe it was meant to do that I often stay out of that fray.
But when going through these photos from Africa I found one that just seemed to SHOUT the above scripture to me.
We were at this young man's home. Here is the feast we were served in his mud hut.
I wish I could find the mom's photo as she was beautiful. Nonethelesss, suffice it to say that we were treated as much more than we actually were. We were, yet again, deeply humbled....
....but, the BESTEST thing that happened and that someone did capture was this big nosed lady with awful reddish-there-is-no-water-electricity-in-Africa hairdo.
That lady was me and I was bestowed with what I am CERTAIN Paul meant in Romans 16:16.
You know how I ALWAYS say that there are many interpretations and I am open to all of them? This time I say there is only one interpretation and you best not try to argue with me because I KNOW way down deep that this is exactly what Paul meant when he said to greet one another with a holy kiss.
I know because I have been blessed with....
A. HOLY. KISS.
YES!
