Our youngest grandson, Seth, is 9 years old. He is the one that was diagnosed with cancer when he was 2 months old.
Here he is a few years back at our annual cottage July 4th parade! Thought a patriotic pic was fitting!?!
.
Seth has that kind of indomitable spirit that one often sees in a child who has had something to overcome, no matter the age. His mind seems to ever be working with an insatiable curiosity about LIFE!
Last night we were talking (objectively, I might add) about the candidates for President; he shared these thoughts.
"Grandma, you know when someone is rich and famous, how everyone thinks they are the best?"
"Tell me more."
"Well, you know who (he named a famous athlete) is?"
"Yes (even though I can't remember the name right now for this blog)."
"Well, if he was running for something, some people would think he would be the best just cuz' everyone knows him and he is famous."
"Okay."
"Well, Trump is like that, he is famous and rich and people think, 'Well, that must mean he will be the best for President so they vote for him'."
"Okay."
"But then, they see him on TV and hear what he says and they are like, 'Hmmmm, maybe he isn't the best for President'."
Well, alrighty then.
Maybe only people UNDER 18 should be allowed to vote.
